Not Just Great for Kids - the Alpine Zoo
The Alpine Zoo, located at an elevation of 727 meters, is Europe's highest zoo. It features more than 2,000 animal and 150 species of Alpine animals.

Wolf
What makes this zoo special is that it depicts Alpine animals in historical and contemporary form. The ALPINE ZOO, a theme zoo, is the world's only zoo that presents such a complete collection of European Alpine animals in enclosures, aquariums and outdoor terrariums.

Murmeltier
The easiest way to get to the Alpine Zoo is to take the Sightseer shuttle bus that is - just like the admission to the zoo - included in the Innsbruck Card. Car parking next to the zoo is limited.

The new IVB bus route W is operating daily every half an hour between 7.00 am and 10.00 pm from the Marketplace to the Alpine Zoo.
