The Klangspuren festival of contemporary music was initiated in 1994 in Schwaz, a former silver mining boomtown, located about 30 km to the east of Innsbruck.

The ORF (Austrian Boradcast Company) has organized already the 9th Long Night of museums. Throughout Austria and Innsbruck all museums and galeries are open form 6 p.m. until 1. a.m. on Saturday 4th October 2008.
